The Charleston Gazette - News: "Oral disease seems to be most prevalent in Appalachian states. [99.6% fluoridated] Kentucky has the second highest rate of tooth loss among older adults, followed by [96% fluoridated] Tennessee.

In the Deep South, [82% fluoridated] Alabama, [46% fluoridated] Louisiana and [46% fluoridated] Mississippi also have high rates of oral disease. [75% fluoridated] Oklahoma is another state with few people going to the dentist and large numbers without teeth."
